The sheriff’s office is responsible for the service of court documents, and the deputy has a document that needs to be served to you in person. Please call the cell phone number listed on the card.

For most documents, we are required to serve at the listed address. Please contact the issuing court to inform them the person no longer resides at that address.

The sheriff’s office must have an order from the court directing our office to provide an escort.

We serve documents to residents in Fairfax County. Service in other jurisdictions are handled by that sheriff’s office.

We serve documents to residents in Fairfax County.  Any service that is required outside of Virginia, please contact that jurisdiction to inquire about their policy for serving an out-of-state document.

You should still plan to appear in court to protect your interests. For specific guidance about your case, please contact the court directly.
