SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE FAQ

CSB employees, contractors, interns, volunteers, and community partners are all eligible to be nominated if their contribution strengthens the CSB’s vision, mission and values. We have a category for everyone!

Anyone! The nomination process is open to all CSB employees, volunteers and community members using the online submission. The Awards committee will select winners for each category area of excellence.

All nominations are reviewed and ranked by the CSB awards committee. The nominees with the highest rankings are selected to be the winner in their applicable area of excellence.

Nominees who are not selected to receive a CSB Spirit of Excellence Award will be recognized with an Honors Certificate in the applicable category.

Award winners and honorees will be highlighted during a special recognition ceremony (typically held at the Fairfax County Government Center). If the in-person ceremony is cancelled or held virtually, awards will be sent via interoffice mail to the recipients’ (or the person who nominated them) CSB work site.
