Beginning in mid-August, services provided by the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Board (CSB) at the Springfield Center will begin a three phased plan to move services to other sites in the county including the Merrifield Center, Gartlan Center (Alexandria area), and South County Human Services Center. This move will allow a seamless continuation of quality care without any reduction in the number of services provided and will open additional opportunities for individuals receiving services at Merrifield due to the co-location with a wider array of service and treatment options.
Services that will transition include: Youth and adult behavioral health outpatient treatment services and the Community Readiness Support Program (CRSP, a psychosocial rehabilitation day program) There will be no gap in service; staff will continue to see clients in their new locations. The move dates include:
- Youth and family outpatient – August 17
- Behavioral health outpatient – September 14
- CRSP – September, to be determined
The CSB's Merrifield Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Parking and bus services are available. Services offered at the Merrifield Center include outpatient services for youth and adults, emergency services, a peer resource center, walk-in assessments, a Medication Assisted Treatment clinic, a pharmacy, a CSB medication clinic, primary health care (including BeWell), and dental services.
