Request A Speaker

Staff from the Office of Environmental and Energy Coordination (OEEC) are available to speak on topics related to the work of the office, including climate action, climate resilience, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies. We also provide information tables upon request.

To request a speaker for your meeting or event, please complete the request form. Requests should be submitted no less than 4 weeks in advance of the scheduled event, whenever possible

OEEC makes every effort to provide speakers, without charge, for professional organizations, civic/service groups, homeowners and condo owners associations, businesses and faith-based organizations. Please note that due to the mission and workload of the office, we will not be able to accept or support every request.  We may also have to deny a request if the topic is not within our subject matter expertise.

If you have any questions or need help completing the speaker request form, please review the frequently asked questions (FAQs) below or contact our office by email at oeecinfo@fairfaxcounty.gov

How to Request a Speaker

  1. Complete the speaker request form. An OEEC representative will review your request and contact you within 1 week of receiving the request.
  2. Submit your request early. We appreciate you making every effort to submit this form at least 4 weeks before your event. Please note that a submission does not guarantee an OEEC speaker will be available, and requests of extremely short notice (within 14 days of an event) may be denied since it will not allow for adequate staffing coordination.
  3. Wait for confirmation. No request will be approved without the submission of a completed Speaker Request Form and confirmation provided by OEEC staff.
