Register as a volunteer with Fairfax County. Note that while the Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program serves Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun, Fairfax County provides volunteer management for all these jurisdictions.
Complete the three-day volunteer training program.
Begin a truly meaningful and high-impact volunteer experience!
Volunteering
Commit to four hours a week for at least one year.
Visit assisted living and nursing home facilities weekdays 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
Work in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, or Loudoun.
