Food safety is more than proper temperature control and food storage. It’s also about the practices and mantras restaurant staff use to keep their patrons safe. That’s why the Consumer Protection Program focuses on education, first and foremost. We strive to help food service locations be the best they can be when it comes to preventing food-borne illness outbreaks. In addition to restaurants, we’re also out there inspecting other facilities, such as tattoo establishments, swimming pools and campgrounds to protect the public’s health.
