PRE-LEASING

  • We first recommend that you contact our office to request a new owner packet. 703-246-5280, TTY 711 or via email at DHCDhcvlistings@fairfaxcounty.gov.
  • List Your Property with the FCRHA. To advertise your unit for rent through the Housing Choice Voucher program, email, fax or mail the  Housing Choice Voucher Listing Form to our office at:

Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority
    3700 Pender Drive
    Fairfax, VA 22030
    FAX: 703-653-1383
    Email: DHCDhcvlistings@fairfaxcounty.gov

NEW LANDLORD FORMS

Please note: IRS Form 1099
If you didn’t receive your IRS Form 1099 Misc. Income due to recent address change, please follow the steps for “Address Changes” below. If you didn’t receive your IRS Form 1099 Misc. Income with any other reasons, please contact to Finance-VendorTeam@fairfaxcounty.gov

TENANT SELECTION

Landlords can select Housing Choice Voucher tenants in the same way they screen and select other tenants. If the landlord agrees to accept the program participant:

  • The landlord and tenant must complete the Request for Tenancy Approval Form and submit it to the FCRHA. The FCRHA will review the request, determine if the requested rent is "rent reasonable” and if the unit is affordable for the family.
  • If the above criteria are met, the FCHRA will conduct an initial Housing Quality Standards inspection.
  • Once the unit passes inspection:
    • The landlord and the tenant will sign the landlord’s lease agreement
    • The landlord and the FCRHA will sign a Housing Assistance Payment Contract which identifies the total rent and the portions paid by the tenant and the FCRHA.
  •  Landlords must submit an ACH Direct Deposit Authorization Form to set up direct deposit of the subsidized portion of the rent.
