Experience the Magic of Arts in the Parks!

Marsha and the PositronsMark your calendars for a magical outing at Arts in the Parks this summer, part of the Fairfax County Park Authority’s Summer Entertainment Series. Come out for free entertainment the entire family can enjoy.

Arts in the Parks features children’s performances on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and Saturday evenings through August. Bring the whole family out for a fun and engaging alternative to early morning cartoons. Entertainers use music, comedy, magic, science, juggling, storytelling and puppetry, to captivate young audiences. Children may even get a chance to join the live performers on stage, making the shows interactive in ways that they will never forget.

Be sure to add these events to your calendar for performances including:

  • (June 15) The Uncle Devin Show — E.C. Lawrence Park Amphitheater: Experience the rhythm of award-winning Uncle Devin’s infectious blend of jazz and funk music on a magical journey through the land of percussion.
  • (June 19) 123 Andrés — Frying Pan Farm Park: Watch this Grammy-winning Latin music duo bring their singable tunes, humor and engaging show to the parks, turning it into a full family dance party.
  • (June 29) Milkshake Trio — Burke Lake Park Amphitheater: Enjoy this kid-friendly band and sing along to their original tunes.
  • (July 6) Marsha and the Positrons — Mason District Park Amphitheater: Learn about science and how the world works through catchy songs that bring positive energy to the stage.
  • (July 13) Groovy Nate — E.C. Lawrence Park Amphitheater: Groove along to this performance that uses exotic musical instruments and comedy to create an educational and fun show.
  • (Aug. 10) The Great Zucchini — Wakefield Park: See how the wonder of magic combined with the silliness of comedy keeps our littlest audiences entertained.
