Considering a career in law enforcement?

The Teen Police Academy provides high school students with an opportunity to learn more about the Fairfax County Police Department, understand core police functions, explore careers in law enforcement, and participate in hands-on activities.

Eligibility

The program is free to all Fairfax County high school-age students (public, private, or home-schooled) entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grades during the 2026-2027 school year. Class size is limited. While many students will provide their own transportation, to meet the needs of our large community, transportation can be offered to those who need it on a case-by-case basis. If you require transportation assistance, please email Captain Deanna Weand at Deanna.Weand@fairfaxcounty.gov when you submit your application.
