Youth Services Unit

The mission of the Youth Services Unit (YSU) is to provide meaningful opportunities for youth throughout Fairfax County to engage with law enforcement through mentorship, leadership development, career readiness, and hands-on educational experiences. The YSU serves as a pathway for young people interested in public safety careers while strengthening positive relationships between the Fairfax County Police Department and the youth community through outreach initiatives. In addition, the YSU serves as the Department's liaison to all Fairfax County Public Schools Criminal Justice Academies, as well as local college and university law enforcement programs.
