This form is for ongoing traffic problems that do not need an immediate response. If a traffic violation is happening right now, or you are reporting a crash, call 911 for an emergency or 703-691-2131 for non-emergency police response.
Use this form to tell the Fairfax County Police Department about a recurring traffic safety problem at a specific location, such as drivers speeding through a residential street, rolling through a stop sign, or failing to yield in a crosswalk. Reports are reviewed by the Traffic Division and the district station that covers the location you provide, and no further action is required on your part.
The Traffic Division uses these reports to decide where to direct speed enforcement, targeted patrols, and traffic studies. Response times vary with call volume and staffing, and submitting this form does not guarantee that an officer will be assigned to the location. A copy of your submission is emailed to you. Should you need to follow up, reply to that email or write to the Traffic Division at FCPDTrafficSafety@fairfaxcounty.gov.
Your contact information is used only to follow up on your report. If you are concerned about your name being released, see the Virginia Freedom of Information Act section at the end of this form.
