A recurring FOG issue identified by WCD-PAB-AM on Asset 068-2-220-068-2-221 has led to a hydraulic analysis, which revealed that the pipes in question are undersized. To address this, a solution is needed to effectively manage or prevent further FOG buildup in the associated manhole. Additionally, a capacity analysis was scheduled by WPMD to assess conditions downstream of the GMU Pump Station (PS) and confirm whether there were any capacity concerns.
Project Description
The project involves the replacement of 1,690 linear feet of deteriorated 8-inch pipe with a 12-inch pipe, in-place, along Gadsen Drive and Henrico Street, from manhole 068-1-027 to manhole 068-1-017. This replacement is necessary to address ongoing issues, including recurring FOG buildup identified by WCD-PAB-AM on Asset 068-2-220-068-2-221. Additionally, the project includes repairs to the FCPA property, which will involve stream restoration for the crossing and the restoration of a basketball court. The scope also encompasses the installation of new manholes, the reconnection of private laterals, and the implementation of a temporary bypass system during construction.
