Project Background

To support Fairfax County’s goal and commitment to become carbon neutral by 2040, the Government Center will begin installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for public and fleet vehicles in Parking Lots A and B. Construction will begin on June 29, 2026, and there will be partial closures in Parking Lots A and B. The schedule for these partial closures is listed below.

What to Expect

During each phase, parking spaces will be limited. We encourage employees to avoid parking in these areas and utilize other parking lots C and D.
Clear signage and direction will be provided for pedestrians and vehicles.
