While it may not be an official holiday, Administrative Professionals Day is observed annually in many places in the world. At Volunteer & Partner Services, we are so grateful to the team of volunteers with our Administrative Assistant Program. They provide essential support to the staff working to prevent child abuse and neglect. We want to take this opportunity to recognize the administrative assistants for their hard work and invaluable contributions to our programs.
The administrative assistants who work with VPS have chosen to volunteer their time to help staff across the Department of Family Services’ Children, Youth and Families Division to build stronger families. They have a wide range of skills and are easy to work with.
The admin team supports VPS in a variety of ways such as writing business correspondence, maintaining electronic filing systems, managing individual projects, conducting research, maintaining databases, handling telephone calls, creating spreadsheets and reports, and much more.
The administrative assistants are an integral part of the VPS team and instrumental in accomplishing the many successes of the program. Some volunteers have been with the program for a couple of months and others a few years, and all have contributed in valuable ways.
On Wednesday, April 27, we encourage you to join the VPS team in sharing your appreciation for work our administrative professionals have done to support the program. They may be behind the scenes, but they are the true stars of the VPS team. Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
