April showers brought May flowers and cleared the way for the BeFriend-A-Child Mentoring Program’s Earth Day Egg Hunt!
The event was graciously hosted by the Reston Chapter of Jack and Jill and the mentors and mentees could not have been more thrilled! They enjoyed some Earth Day Trivia while also getting their hands dirty making homemade birdfeeders and planting pinwheel gardens in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month! And of course, what’s a party without a DJ, some classic board games, and a selfie station?!
The BeFriend-A-Child mentors and mentees would like to send an extra special shout out to the Reston chapter of Jack and Jill as well as a local girl scout, Cynthia Stephen, for taking this opportunity to earn her Leadership badge by taking initiative and facilitating one of the Earth Day stations!
