Holiday Care Package Drive

Help Spread Warmth and Joy to Older Adults This Holiday Season

snowman with cup of hot chocolate The holiday season is a time to share joy and kindness with others. While many of us gather with loved ones, there are older adults and adults with disabilities in our community who are facing daily challenges just to access basic necessities. For them, the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference.

This year, you can help bring comfort and care to those who need it most. The Adult and Aging Division of Fairfax County’s Department of Family Services is hosting the “Bundles of Comfort” Holiday Care Package Drive to support individuals in our community. These care packages include essentials like a new hat, scarf, microwave-safe mug, and hygiene items will be gifted to clients this holiday season.

With your help, we can brighten the holiday season for those who too often go without. This year, we hope to bring smiles and warmth to 350 recipients through this effort – and we need your help to make it happen. Will you join us in spreading holiday cheer this year?

Provide a “Bundle of Comfort”

Guidelines for “Bundles of Comfort”
To ensure your care package is thoughtful and accessible for all:

  • All items must be new.
  • Please keep products gender-neutral—avoid holiday or religious patterns.
  • Mugs should be packaged carefully to avoid damage.
  • Do NOT gift wrap the bundles.

Deadline:
All donations (hygiene items and Bundles of Comfort) must arrive at the Area Agency on Aging by Friday, November 21, 2025.

A Community That Cares

Every donation is a heartfelt reminder that our community values and cares for its older members and those living with disabilities. Whether it’s a soft scarf for warmth, a mug for a comforting drink, or a hygiene item for daily care, these contributions symbolize compassion, hope, and kindness. Together, we can make the holiday season a little brighter for those in our community!
