School-Year P-EBT is Ending

The ending of the federal Public Health Emergency will bring about the final issuance of P-EBT benefits:

• P-EBT for School Year 2022-2023: VDSS began distributing backdated P-EBT benefits in March for the 2022-2023school year to eligible SNAP households with a child under 6 yearsof age. The last payment for these SNAP households will be loaded onto their EBT accounts in June 2023. P-EBT benefits will not be issued to K-12 school-aged children for the 2022-2023 school year.
   
• Summer 2023 P-EBT: Eligible school-aged children will receive a single summer benefit beginning July 22, 2023. Due to the ending of the Public Health Emergency in May 2023, SNAP households with children under 6 are not eligible to receive summer P-EBT benefits.
