From the outskirts of D.C., a group of people with a mutual love of funk, pop and soul came together to breathe sensuality into new original music. Starting with their 2021 debut single, “I Want You To Know,” Strutman Lane infuses rhythm guitar hooks, warm vocals and driving sax lines that cater pocket grooves to the soul. After releasing their 2022 debut EP, “Bedroom Sessions,” they headlined Union Stage, opened for Melt at the 9:30 Club in 2023, and released a couple viral Tik Toks playing music hitched to a truck at a McDonalds drive-thru — Strutman Lane has their sights set higher. Strutman Lane is coming into 2025 hot with a new EP, a sold-out show at the Atlantis, an East Coast tour, and a headlining gig at the 9:30 Club this July. For better or for worse, Strutman Lane will make you rethink your life choices.
