BIDS DUE DATE/TIME & LOCATION:
Bids are to be submitted to the Director, Fairfax County Park Authority, Planning and Development Division, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Suite 421, Fairfax, Virginia 22035 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing local time, Thursday, February 10, 2022. Bids received after that time will not be accepted.  Bids are to be delivered in the FCPA box located outside of the lobby entrance, labeled by the project name.

BIDS TO BE OPENED PUBLICLY:
Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 via MS Teams (Invite and results to be emailed to all plan holders).

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

FAIRFAX COUNTY PARK AUTHORITY 

 

Request for Qualifications – Basic Ordering Agreement for  

Geotechnical Engineering and Related Professional Services

 

Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firms to provide professional services for construction inspection, construction materials testing, quality control inspections, and geotechnical engineering, for various capital facility projects of common park land development infrastructure under a basic ordering agreement (BOA). These land development and infrastructure projects include, but are not limited to, the following: buildings, roadways and parking lots, trails, bridges, shelters, natural and synthetic turf fields, athletic field lighting, irrigation, stormwater facilities, retaining walls, and utility installations including water and sanitation distribution systems. 

 

Fairfax County Park Authority intends to award up to three (3) BOA contracts, each with a ceiling limit of $8,000,000 per year, to firms under this BOA solicitation process. The amount authorized for any one project shall not exceed $2,500,000. Selected firms will be required to perform other miscellaneous duties such as helical pier inspection, dam inspection, soil boring, structural steel inspection, floor flatness and levelness testing, and hazardous materials inspections and shall have a full service consultant team including construction materials testing and quality control staff, materials testing lab, drill crew, and geotechnical. All services will be implemented on a task order basis (as needed); no specific projects are identified at this time. The contracts will be for a one-year period, with the Park Authority’s option to renew for four additional one-year periods. 

 

Due to limited building accessibility, the delivery of Statements of Qualifications shall be as follows: Statements of Qualifications can be delivered to a receptacle in the lobby of 12055 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA, 22035 (the Herrity Building) between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon., local prevailing time, during the period beginning Wednesday, February 2, 2022, through Monday, February 7, 2022.
