COVID-19 TESTING
Fairfax County Health Department
Fairfax County provides Public Health COVID-19 testing in certain cases following guidance by the Virginia Department of Health. All requests for public health testing need to be submitted electronically. Requests can only be made for patients by their health care provider. Requests will be reviewed seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by public health staff. Find more information.
Neighborhood Health
Call 703-535-5568 prior to accessing services so patients can be screened over the phone. Neighborhood Health is only offering COVID-19 testing for current patients. Neighborhood Health is accepting a limited number of new patients at this time, with priority going to patients with symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Uninsured individuals who wish to become new patients and use the sliding scale discount will undergo a streamlined financial eligibility process after they call the main number.

- Patient (new or current) will receive a video or telehealth visit with a medical provider to assess symptoms.
- If applicable, the medical provider will order a COVID-19 lab test and provide patient with date, time and location to get tested.
- Patient must attend the testing location at the assigned day and time, remain in their car, and follow all instructions from the testing team on-site.

Testing is provided at no charge to enrolled HealthWorks patients. As capacity allows, HealthWorks is enrolling new patients except for those who already have another primary care doctor. Testing Protocol:
- HealthWorks is now providing triage for COVID testing entirely through telehealth visits.

Inova Urgent Care Center
The Inova Urgent Care (UCC) locations listed below, are operating as Respiratory Illness Clinics and only evaluating patients with respiratory illness symptoms. The clinics will also be able to collect samples for COVID-19 testing via physician ordered vehicle-side appointments. If you do not live near one of these facilities, COVID-19 testing is available across the Inova Health System if you meet the criteria for testing outlined by the CDC and the Virginia Department of Health.
Tysons Respiratory Illness Clinic is operating 7-days per week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Dulles South and North Arlington Respiratory Illness Clinics are operating Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Beginning Monday, April 20, Inova Primary Care – Old Town Alexandria will operate as a Respiratory Illness Clinic *by appointment only* Monday-Friday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. To schedule a respiratory evaluation at the Old Town office, patients should call 703-683-7220.
Before visiting any Inova Respiratory Illness Clinic, take the following steps:
- Contact your regular physician for evaluation. For assistance with recommendations, to arrange for a physician appointment, or if you do not have a primary care physician, call 1-855-IMG-DOCS.
- Your regular physician should evaluate your symptoms to determine if testing is needed based on COVID-19 testing criteria, provide a testing order and coordinate your referral to the Inova Respiratory Illness Clinic for evaluation.
- Upon arrival at the Inova Respiratory Illness Clinic, a clinician will greet the patient at their vehicle to collect samples for a physician-ordered test, or escort the patient into the respiratory clinic for evaluation.
- For patients who undergo COVID-19 testing, an Inova nurse will contact those whose results are negative. For patients with positive results, an Inova nurse will coordinate with the patient’s regular physician for notification and further instructions. Patients who are tested can expect results in roughly 4-7 days.

Northern Virginia Dental Clinic
The Northern Virginia Dental Clinic (NVDC) will resume operations on June 1. During Phase 1, NVDC will offer the following services:
- Non-surgical extractions
- Root Canal Therapy (this service is primarily for those individuals who were treated on an emergency basis during restricted operations and those on NVDC's endodontic waiting list)
- Emergency/urgent services
Emergency care is warranted if:
- Client is in pain which keeps them up at night.
- Client has swelling (face and/or neck).
- Client has an abscess (usually marked by a pimple type lesion in their mouth which secretes exudate or puss). Patient will usually have pain and possibly a foul taste in their mouth.
- Client has bleeding (this one is difficult determine, because some people with periodontal disease will have bleeding which is not related to an emergency condition).
Upon resuming operations, NVDC will return to providing access to care to NVDC patients of record ONLY. In addition, the normal $50 fee for each scheduled appointment will be reinstated.

The Genoa Healthcare pharmacies provide full-service pharmacies at Community Health Center locations and Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board locations. Multiple insurances can be billed. Subsidies are available including Prescription Assistance Programs, 340b pricing, state and local subsidies. Prescribers are working to complete refills early, move to 90-day prescription refills when possible, and increase mailing of prescriptions. Curbside pickup of medications is also available. Call ahead to minimize wait time.

Provides low-cost prescriptions to manage chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and to uninsured patients of partner clinics whose income is below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. 80% of the medications in the pharmacy are generics purchased by NOVA ScriptsCentral and 20% are donated brand-name pharmaceuticals provided through RxPartnership of Richmond, Virginia, Americares and Direct Relief.
