If your family, business, company, organization, or faith-based group is interested in helping to support a family during the holidays this year, then the Department of Family Services’ Adopt-A-Family Program is a great opportunity for you to round out 2023!
The Adopt-A-Family Program was developed in 2006 to help children and families receive clothing, food, and toys during the holiday season. This program matches generous donors with identified families to make their holidays more joyful.
If you are interested in becoming a donor for a family in the Annandale or South County regions of the county, please fill out our Adopt-A-Family Donor Form. While the donor form allows you to select a preference for drop off at certain locations, we may not always be able to accommodate those requests due to a greater number of families in need in certain areas of Fairfax County.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to match donors with families who are working with the Fairfax County Department of Family Services on an ongoing basis before the program closes on December 8.
If you missed the Adopt-A-Family deadline, still reach out to us for other ways to help families during the holidays, or any time of the year. Monetary contributions and gift cards for food, clothing, toys, or new baby items can be used to make an impact for families year-round. Read more.
If you have any questions, you can learn more online about the Adopt-A-Family program or please feel free to email us.
