BeFriend-A-Child group cookingPizza, parfaits, and sweet treats, “Oh my”! That’s exactly what was cookin’ at September’s bimonthly BeFriend-A-Child Mentoring activity! BeFriend partnered with Fairfax County 4-H, the local chapter of one of the largest youth development organizations in the United States. This collaboration was all about teaching BeFriend-A-Child mentees about kitchen safety and cooking!

4H allowed the mentors and mentees to lead the charge in cooking up some fun, and as it turns out, there are quite a few aspiring chefs in the group! After enjoying the decadent food they prepared, the mentors and mentees danced and played a few games to work off the calories and round out the day! So, we hope you brought your appetite as you check out some of the delicious photos from this amazing event!
