BeFriend-A-Child Holiday PartyAnother year, another successful BeFriend-A-Child Holiday Party!! This year we reached a new record of over 150 individuals in attendance. We celebrated with so many new mentors, mentees and their families.

Thanks to all the wonderful sponsors and donors who made this event possible. Once again, our gracious host, Fairfax Church, provided a spacious, brightly-decorated venue where children, families, and mentors could enjoy themselves. Namita Magoon of Information Technology Strategies, LLC, sponsored a delicious spread by Mission BBQ.

Cake4Kids’ volunteer bakers delivered sweet treats – festive cupcakes – that were enjoyed by everyone and Nema Djavadi provided juice boxes.

DJ Aidan with Good Vibrations provided great music to keep the party going all afternoon. Everyone had a blast making arts and crafts like sparkly marshmallow snowmen, learning about and making polar bears, and decorating holiday bags. A photo booth was a popular way to capture the memories!

All mentees and siblings were spoiled by the generosity of Samantha Prince who partnered with BTI360 to donate gifts, making their holiday season much brighter.

Thank you to everyone who supported and attended the event, including Fairfax County Department of Family Services Director Michael Becketts, and Children, Youth, and Families Division Director Oriane Eriksen!

The day would not have been possible without our amazing mentors and their ongoing commitment to the lives of the children we serve. Thank you all for making the 2024 BeFriend-A-Child Holiday party a magical experience.
