As the year drew to a close, the BeFriend-A-Child Mentoring Program hosted a joyful holiday celebration for mentors and mentees with their families. This heartwarming event was filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.
A Joyful Celebration
Happy children eagerly lined up to share their holiday wishes with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Meanwhile, DJ Aiden with Good Vibrations Entertainment kept the music flowing and the energy high. Families captured precious memories courtesy of the photo booth.
FaceArt By Jamie skillfully transformed children into the image of their favorite characters. Laurie Magic crafted whimsical balloon animals and other shapes to delight the little ones. For those with a sweet tooth, a chocolate-covered strawberry making station provided a delicious hands-on treat.
Giving Back Goes Full Circle
In addition to celebrating the season, the event also embraced the spirit of kindness and community. Working in partnership with A Bright Spot, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading love and support, families and attendees were invited to create uplifting Valentine’s Day cards. These special notes, letters, and cards will be shared with individuals who could use a little extra warmth and encouragement on Valentine’s Day.
Thank you to each of the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made the event possible. Fairfax Church graciously hosted this magical event. Long-time program supporter, Namita Magoon, donated a delicious barbecue feast. and Cake4Kids’ bakers provided a variety of deliciously sweet treats.
This holiday celebration was a testament to the incredible community that surrounds the BeFriend-A-Child Mentoring Program. Your contributions helped us close out 2025 on a high note, spreading cheer and fostering meaningful connections. We look forward to continuing our mission of mentorship, support, and community in the year ahead.
