At the time we are writing this, Volunteer & Partner Services is finalizing plans to return to in-person services in the fall 2021.
Our Body Safety coordinator, Francesca Watson, is excited to reconnect with teachers and students at FCPS’ elementary schools. She is actively seeking volunteer facilitators to teach children in kindergarten through 6th grade the five safety rules to help them stay safe from abuse and neglect. The Befriend-A-Child Mentoring coordinator has begun reconnecting with her mentors and mentees and slowly but surely resumed in-person check-ins with the mentor matches. We captured some fun pictures of these recent get togethers. See all the fun you could be having if you become a mentor...wink, wink! Last but most definitely not least, our Study Buddy Tutoring Program, our Administrative Assistants Program, and our On-Call Child Care & Special Events Program will be back in person sometime in the fall, and we certainly cannot wait!
