Kick off Summer by joining the officers of the Mount Vernon District Station for a family friendly Police Department Community Day on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Enjoy the day by taking this unique opportunity to get a closer look at the police vehicle fleet, as well as police officer tools and uniforms. Attendees will see specialty unit demos, such as the SWAT team, police K9, and motors (the motorcycle unit). To top it all off, the police helicopter will be making a special appearance. The Little Gym of Alexandria will be joining in on the fun with music and games for all to enjoy. To cool off, popsicles will be provided. Questions are encouraged at the event and the officers look forward to seeing everyone to have fun with the community they serve!
