Town Meeting Mailer 2023

Dear Neighbor,

I invite you to join us for a Mount Vernon District (MVD) annual tradition – the 36th Annual Town Meeting – on Saturday morning, February 11, 2023, at Mount Vernon High School and streaming on Channel 16 and Facebook. We look forward to engaging with hundreds of you, our highly informed, passionate residents and business owners for this community tradition. You will hear County and District updates, participate in Q & A’s with your local leaders, and learn about available County and community services. The highlight of the morning will be a “virtual tour” of the Mount Vernon District from Huntington to Lorton! Come find out why we’re "THE ONE!"

This newsletter is another of our annual promises to inform you of our key accomplishments of the past year and our focus and plans for the coming year. Please take a moment to view our 2022 photos and mark your calendars for our 2023 events! We encourage you to contact us at MTVernon@FairfaxCounty.gov or 703-780-7518 to tell us what you think of this Advisor. Your feedback is important to us!

This year we launched the MVD Neighborhood College for residents to learn about County government, doubled our affordable housing commitment county-wide, attended hundreds of events and community meetings and announced “The One” Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) brand. In 2023, TEAM MVD and I are committed to engaging even more with each and every one of you. If you have a community event, HOA meeting, religious service or any occasion you would like me to attend or make remarks, please contact our office at MTVernon@FairfaxCounty.gov or 703-780-7518.

TEAM MVD and I are committed to working with you to address your individual concerns, deliver a better quality of life and ensure every Mount Vernon neighbor, community and business has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Respectfully yours in public service,

Supervisor, Mount Vernon District
