The Water Mine Rules

Park Authority employees and authorized volunteer staff have been trained and are obligated to enforce these rules and regulations. Failure to abide by these rules may also result in violators being ejected from the park immediately and prohibited from future use of park property, facilities or services.

  1. Failure to obey the rules or the directions of the lifeguards or behaving in a manner that adversely affects customer safety and comfort may result in removal from the park.
  2. Running, pushing and other dangerous conduct are prohibited.
  3. Profanity and abusive language or behavior is prohibited.
  4. All persons entering the Water Mine must pay the appropriate fee.
  5. Wristbands must be worn at all times.
  6. Food, drink, or chewing gum is prohibited on the pool deck, in the pool and locker rooms.
  7. Smoking, glass containers, alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited.
  8. Street shoes may not be worn on the pool deck.
  9. All swimmers are required to take soap showers before entering the pool.
  10. Children under the age of 10 or using Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) must be under the direct supervision of a paying guardian 16 years or older.
  11. Some pool features require users to be at least 48" tall. Customers must comply with posted signs.
  12. Only bathing suits or alternatives approved by the aquatic supervisor may be worn in the pool.
  13. Clothing or bathing suits with exposed metal rivets or metal parts are prohibited.
  14. Persons with skin infections, open wounds, ear or nasal discharge, diarrhea or communicable disease are not permitted in the pool.
  15. Spitting and nose blowing in the pool or on the pool deck is prohibited.
  16. In the event of bad weather the pool and deck area must be vacated immediately. In the event of an electrical storm the facility will be evacuated and customers should seek the safety of their cars.
  17. Dives, flips, or back jumps from the side of the pool are prohibited.
  18. Enter and exit the water at the designated areas only.
  19. Climbing on rocks and climbing over or through rope fences is prohibited.
  20. Injuries occurring within the pool area or locker rooms must be reported to the lifeguard or manager on duty immediately.
  21. All persons must stay out of the water during safety breaks.
  22. Infants/children not toilet trained and incontinent adults must wear swim diapers or snug plastic pants under their bathing suits.
  23. Cloth and disposable diapers are prohibited.
  24. Personal floats, toys, masks, snorkels, and fins are prohibited. (Personal Floatation Devices/life vests are available upon request at the pool office.)
  25. Inflatable beach balls and sponge balls are allowed in the pool during uncrowded periods and at the discretion of the aquatic supervisor or manager on duty.
  26. Playing with or throwing discs, balls or other objects is prohibited on the pool deck and lawn areas.
  27. The actions and conduct of organized groups are the responsibility of the group leaders. Misconduct of individuals may result in dismissal of the group.
  28. Talking to, visiting with, or in any way distracting the lifeguards is prohibited.
