An emergency sanitary sewer replacement project began on March 21, 2019 in downtown Springfield at 6801 Commerce St., between Backlick Road and Brandon Avenue. To reduce traffic delays in this busy corridor, work is being done during the daytime from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our contractor replaced approximately 620 linear feet of 8-inch concrete pipe. The pipe is too deteriorated to reline, so replacement was necessary. we are in the process of scheduling restoration work (paving).
