Restrictions on Use

The customer will not transfer, sell, lease, distribute, or export Fairfax County’s wastewater GIS data or derivative products except as authorized by Fairfax County’s Wastewater Management staff to do so. The customer will take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized parties from accessing or using Fairfax County’s wastewater GIS data and records that would constitute a breach of this agreement.

Distribution in any format (including paper copies) of the data provided by the County shall be limited to parties expressly authorized by Fairfax County’s Wastewater Management staff.

Pursuant to Section 54.1-402 of the Code of Virginia, any determination of topography or contours, or any depiction of physical improvements, property lines or boundaries is for general information only and shall not be used for the design, modification, or construction of improvements to real property or for flood plain determination. Warranty and Disclaimers

Fairfax County’s Wastewater Management program gives no expressed or implied warranties, representations, conditions, or indemnities with respect to GIS Data, GIS Data’s content, accuracy, currency, or completeness, or concerning the results to be obtained from queries or use of the GIS Data. All GIS Data are expressly provided as is and with all faults, and do not, in anyway, constitute a legal record.

Data Interpretation

GIS data is developed and maintained solely for Fairfax County government functions. Use or interpretations of GIS Data by the customer or others is their sole responsibility.
