Envirothon Competition - 5-member teams of high school students test their environmental science knowledge in aquatics, wildlife, forestry, soil science, and a special topic that changes each year.

Youth Conservation Camp - Students from across Virginia attend this week-long camp to enhance conservation knowledge, learn from experts in the field, and enjoy the outdoors. Held on the Virginia Tech campus.

College Scholarship - An $1000 scholarship is available to high school seniors or college freshmen planning to study conservation or environment-related fields. March deadline.

Youth Conservation Leadership Institute - YCLI is a unique opportunity for high school students to receive experience and engage in networking opportunities to prepare them for future education and career paths. 

Science Fair Awards - We provide organizational awards to students who have done outstanding investigation on topics relating to local natural resources.

Enviroscape Model and Classroom Kits - Borrow one of our classroom kits to use with students or scouts, including the popular Enviroscape watershed model.

Poster Contest - Open to K-12 students, the conservation poster contest theme changes each year.

Storm Drain Volunteering - Contact a community association, obtain approval, learn how to properly affix the storm drain labels, and help us spread the word: Only Rain in the Storm Drain! Storm drain connect directly to our backyard streams and parks.

Volunteer Stream Monitoring - Crayfish, caddisflies and more! See what stream bugs can tell us about the health of our local water resources.
