The 2025 NOVA Regional Fatherhood Workshop Series

The NOVA Regional Fatherhood Workshop Series

All Community Members, Fathers, Father Figures, and Professionals are invited to this weekly workshop series to help enhance a father’s self-awareness, self-care, parenting and relationship skills. Help us celebrate the positive influence of involved fathers and father figures on their children’s development and overall well-being!

Four local Northern Virginia governments are partnering to offer this series. The Fatherhood Engagement programs within the Arlington County Department of Human Services, Fairfax County Department of Family Services, Loudoun County Family Services, and Prince William County Department of Social Services are honoring fathers during Fatherhood Awareness Month in June. The mission of the Fairfax County Department of Family Services’ Father Engagement Unit (FEU) is to help strengthen families by supporting all Children, Youth and Families programs in effectively engaging fathers and involving them in service planning and decision-making for their children. To that end CYF utilizes staff training, father engagement strategies, father-inclusive policies, father-friendly services, and collaboration with systems-of-care agencies and community-based organizations. You can learn more about the Father Engagement Unit and Fatherhood Awareness Month.
