Appreciating Our Fantastic Volunteers!

On April 24, in honor of Volunteer Appreciation Month, our community came together at the Reston Community Center for a warm and inspiring Volunteer and Partner Appreciation Dinner. This event, hosted by The Department of Family Services Volunteer and Partner Services program, was dedicated to celebrating you: our volunteers, donors, partners, and friends.

We extend heartfelt thanks to:

  • Reston Community Center, for generously hosting and donating the space for this special evening.
  • Sterling Olive Garden, for providing a delicious dinner enjoyed by all.
  • Costco, for donating the desserts that made the night even sweeter.
  • Chick-Fil-A Fair Lakes, for donating drinks and helping us offer such generous hospitality.

The evening opened, as it has for many years, with beautiful music from the Magic Hand Orchestra, whose continued presence has become a cherished tradition and a much-anticipated start to our celebration.

We are deeply grateful to all of our honored speakers, who were truly the highlight of the night. Their stories of impact, their reasons for involvement, and their passion for service reminded us why this work matters and how powerful our community can be when we come together.

We also want to recognize and thank all the community donors who contributed items to our raffle. Your generosity totaled $11,573.00 and added a spirit of fun and excitement to the evening and helped us celebrate our volunteers in a special way.

Most importantly, this dinner was a celebration of our volunteers, partners, and supporters. It was an evening of reflection on our program accomplishments and success stories, all made possible through your dedication, commitment, and passion. Every hour volunteered, every gift given, every partnership formed has helped us serve our community more deeply and more effectively.

Thank you for making our work possible, and for being the heart of everything we do.
