The Health Department provides a range of STI services, including testing, medications, counseling, oversight of treatment and a wide range of educational efforts focused on prevention of the spread of STIs.

Service Cost
The Health Department does not provide free STI services. We either bill a client’s insurer or charge a sliding scale fee if a client is uninsured. STI services may not be covered under your private health insurance plan. Please check with your provider.
If financial assistance is needed, clients can meet with an assistance worker prior to testing to determine eligibility. Please call 703-246-7100 for more information.
