NCS seeks Activity Facilitators looking for part-time opportunities where they can engage in the community around them and make an impact in the lives of Fairfax County residents.
Activity Facilitators duties include:
- Planning, preparing, and leading senior center activities that are age and ability appropriate.
- Working collaboratively to plan and organize activities/programs that focus on prevention, health & wellness and are based on community needs.
- Implementing programming techniques that serve a multi-cultural and economically diverse population.
- Leading scheduled activities, encouraging full participation, enjoyment, and group involvement that meet the desired outcomes.
- Assisting in the marketing of programs and outreach to the community.
- Providing leadership and ensuring the safety of all center participants.
- Interacting positively, supportively, and reassuringly with the participants.
- Acting as a role model and mentor.
- Accountable for quality of programs provided to the community participants.
