Guest Performer! Dance the Blues Away with Arts for the Aging Teaching Artists Nancy Havlik and Miles Spicer. This interactive live workshop via Zoom and other platforms features music and movement for all audiences and abilities. Miles Spicer, a guitarist and composer, leads participants in group singing, call and response, and more. Musical genres featured vary by audience and may include Blues, Jazz, Rock and Roll, and popular requests. Nancy Havlik, a dancer and choreographer, guides participants through collaborative dances inspired by the music. This workshop is suitable for older adults and caregivers of all mobilities. Dances may be performed seated or standing and singing along is highly encouraged!
Please Note: Due to health and safety concerns and to avoid unnecessary disruptions, classes will close 10 minutes after their start time and new participants will not be admitted.
This class is for residents of Fairfax County and the Cities of Fairfax and Falls Church only.
