Virtual Body Safety Classes for Schools and Families Now Available in Spanish

virtual Body Safety presentationThe Body Safety Program was proud to start offering virtual classes in Spanish, all thanks to our bilingual and multilingual volunteers.

By offering classes in Spanish, the program can reach more children in our community in need of education surrounding body safety or who may be at risk of abuse or neglect.

During these trying times, it is extremely important for children to know who their safe adults are and what to do in unsafe situations. We are grateful to our volunteers to be able to serve a much larger population in our community.

Her students participated in the Body Safety Program virtually. The children in her class were savvy with their technology, raising hands when asked, turning off microphones when prompted, and were well versed on virtual etiquette. The class was excited to learn more about body safety and build awareness on appropriate and inappropriate touching.
