Outdoor Drop Boxes: Outside each Fairfax County Human Services building there are drop boxes with the Family Services logo on them. These boxes are secure, and items are picked up multiple times throughout the day. Documents deposited in these boxes before 4:30 p.m. will be date stamped with the current day. Documents received after 4:30 p.m. will be date stamped for the next business day. (Learn more about how to find these drop boxes.)

All Virginia Career Works-Fairfax Centers and the VIEW Job Center are closed until further notices. Services will continue to be offered through web-based and telephonic options, to include the following:

  • Tools, resources, and assistance for job search, interview preparation and career advancement.
  • Access to a bank of online employment resources and education and training options.
  • Workforce information and local labor market information.
  • Career coaching.
  • Live job seeker webinar.

If you are eligible to receive Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), or federally-subsidized housing and you choose to participate, it will not affect immigration applications for Lawful Permanent Resident (green card) status.
