Sully District Neighborhood College

Fairfax County’s Neighborhood College is a FREE seven-session civic engagement program open to Sully District residents* interested in learning about Fairfax County and the Sully District. We’ll explore how to work with neighbors, community organizations and local government to strengthen neighborhoods and build community capacity. This is an excellent leadership program for residents who serve as officers on their homeowner’s or civic association’s board.

Through lectures, group discussions and practical experiences, participants will:

  • Learn about Fairfax County Government and how it works.

  • Understand demographic profiles and trends in community context.

  • Explore topics that impact or strengthen neighborhoods and communities

  • Find out how to work effectively within diverse neighborhoods and communities.

*Residents can use Fairfax County's MyNeighborhood page to confirm in which magisterial district they reside.
