Community Involvement

Neighborhood and Community Services sponsors and supports many county/community partnerships and initiatives designed to enhance coordination of service delivery and increase our combined capacity for strengthening the overall well-being of individuals, families and communities in Fairfax County:

Cross-Systems Prevention Coordination

The NCS Prevention Unit brings together the collective resources and expertise of local government, schools, faith and community organizations and professionals to promote healthy, successful children and youth in Fairfax County.

Community Impact Unit

We develop, strengthen, engage and nurture nonprofit organizations and faith communities to build a stronger community for Fairfax County residents. 
 

Fairfax Families4Kids

Fairfax Families4Kids is a mentoring program for adolescents and young adults (ages 12-21) in foster care or kinship families.

Community Provider Strategy Team

This collaborative network of community/county health and human services providers works to increase a collective capacity to serve urgent and ongoing basic needs in the Fairfax County community.
