Large-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems - Adopted Zoning Ordinance Amendment
This amendment revises the definition of Light Public Facility to include Large-Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), adds a new definition for BESS, and adds new permissions, use standards, and special exception and development plan submission requirements for a large-scale BESS to provide for public safety and compatibility with surrounding uses.
