Eligibility

SACC offers before-and after-school care for children attending kindergarten through sixth grade in most Fairfax County public elementary schools. In addition, Key and Kilmer centers serve youth, ages 5-21, with multiple types of disabilities. Children are eligible to attend the SACC program when all adults living in the child's home meet one or more of the criteria below, or any equivalent combination:

  • Work 30 or more hours a week.
  • Attend school full time (at least 12 semester hours).
  • Attend a job training program 30 or more hours a week.
  • Unable to work due to a disability.

Enrollment

SACC is currently enrolling for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.

To enroll your child, please call SACC Registration at 703-449-8989, Monday - Friday between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If space is not currently available at your school, you may choose to have your child's name added to the waitlist. Be sure to ask about our winter, spring and summer camp programs!

Please note, children can be enrolled or placed on a waitlist up to a year in advance of the start of a school year. Pre-enrollment begins in July each year. Children can also be enrolled or placed on a waitlist up to a year in advance of the start of the winter, spring and summer camp programs.

SACC enrollment for the 2020 - 2021 school year is coming soon!

SACC will be enrolling new children for the 2020-2021 school year as noted below:

Enrollment dates are set alphabetically by the elementary school your child(ren) will attend.

Beginning Tuesday, July 9th: enrollment for school beginning with letters A - C (Aldrin - Cunningham Park)

Beginning Tuesday, July 16th: enrollment for schools beginning with letters D - G (Daniels Run - Gunston)

Beginning Tuesday, July 23rd: enrollment for schools beginning with letters H - L (Halley - Lynbrook)

Beginning Tuesday, July 30th: enrollment for schools beginning with letters M - S (Mantua - Sunrise Valley)

Beginning Tuesday, August 6th: enrollment for schools beginning with letters T- W (Terra Center - Woodley Hills)

For example, if you would like to enroll your child for SACC services at McNair Elementary, you are able to call beginning on Tuesday, the week of July 30.

To enroll your child, please call SACC Registration at 703-449-8989, Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., according to the dates above. If space is not currently available at your school, you may choose to have your child's name added to waitlist.
