Held annually on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out brings neighbors and law enforcement together at community events across the nation. This year, the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) is celebrating National Night Out at two Community Centers.

The Cathy Hudgins Community Center at Southgate is holding its event on Tuesday, August 2 at 5-6:30 p.m. In addition to hosting the Fairfax County Police Department and public safety teams, the event will feature games, music, hot dogs and treats, and more. Cathy Hudgins Community Center at Southgate is located at 12125 Pinecrest Road in Reston.

Gum Springs Community Center is celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 at 6-7:30 p.m. The event will feature family kickball, music, giveaways, hot dogs and freeze pops, and more. Gum Springs Community Center is located at 8100 Fordson Road in Alexandria.
