NCS is partnering with the Fairfax County Park Authority to offer affordable summer camps to families with a household income of less than $132,500. Eligible families will pay reduced rates for children to participate in popular Park Authority summer camps offered at Sully Community Center. Camps are open to children ages 5-12 of all abilities.
Camps are offered June 20-Aug. 18, 2023. The one-week sessions focus on various sports and movement programs including basketball, gymnastics and cheer, circus and magic, gymnastics and dance, and ninja obstacles and tumbling camp.
More info on weekly camp themes by week, scholarship income requirements for scholarships and the sliding fee scale are available on the Sully Sports and More flyer.
"Securing spots in summer camps in Northern Virginia can be a challenge," said Chris Scales, NCS Division Director. "This new partnership will help ensure that all families have access to high-quality, engaging camps."
Camp runs 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Before-care (8–9 a.m.) and after-care (4-5 p.m.) is available for an additional fee.
Located at 13800 Wall Rd., Herndon, VA, Sully Community Center is a new, 36,000-square-foot NCS facility that opened in September 2022.
