Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month in Fairfax County! The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors declared July as Park and Recreation Month in Fairfax County. On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Chairman Jeff McKay will present a proclamation to representatives from NCS, Fairfax County Park Authority, Reston Community Center and McLean Community Center. The community is invited to join the celebration with special family-friendly games and activities at the Evenings on the Ellipse concert. The short ceremony will take place just prior to the Park Authority's free Evenings on the Ellipse Concert.
