Neighborhood Initiative Programs and Family Resource Centers are partnership initiatives between Fairfax County and community-based organizations. These facilities provide resources and assists with meeting existing needs within identified communities throughout Fairfax County.  Key components of this initiative include:

• Resources and programs to address social and economic challenges facing communities
• Fostering community interaction and resident leadership development to address neighborhood concerns
• Providing support for academic achievement and enhance parent engagement with their child’s school

Resources and programs at these centers may include, but are not limited to:

• Technology Programming for Youth and Adults
• Out-of-School-Time Activities
• English as a Second Language Classes
• Legal Assistance
• Prevention Programs
• Employment Assistance
• Training
