The Veterans and Military Families Commission (VMFC) was created to identify issues and challenges facing Fairfax County:
Veterans
Active-duty Service Members
Military Retirees
Families
What We Do
The Commission will strive to connect the military community with support, find service gaps, and improve access to resources. The Commission will explore issues such as home and childcare costs, access to food, employment, and mental health. Issues like medical treatment, justice issues, homelessness, and education will also be considered. The Commission will seek advice and guidance from county staff to address the problems facing the military community that live and work in Fairfax County.
