On April 11, 2023, the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Plan amendment for Tax Map Parcels 49-2 ((1)) 39, 40, 48 and 53 to allow redevelopment as residential mixed use up to 1.9 FAR, consisting of residential, office, hotel, and office uses.
Specific considerations for this proposal will include compatible transitions to residential uses on adjacent sites, opportunities for improving connectivity which includes the completion of a portion of the “Merrifield Ring Road”, and evaluation of potential impacts to the currently planned balance parks, open space amenities, and public facilities.
