The community is invited to participate in a series of engagement sessions to discuss future programming and services at David R. Pinn & Huntington Community Centers.
On May 5, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the FY 2027 Budget. Due to challenging budget environment and declining attendance trends, the budget includes the closure of both centers as county-operated facilities. NCS will work to transition the centers to community partners that can continue to provide programs, activities and services to the community.
Both centers will remain open and continue offering current programming through end of summer 2026. Before engaging potential partners, NCS will host a series of engagement sessions in June and early July to hear from the community members on their needs, priorities and goals for these important community spaces.
