Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Burke-Springfield Center for Active Adults on August 5

bscaa opening

Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services invites the community to a grand opening ceremony for the Burke-Springfield Center for Active Adults(BSCAA)on Aug. 5, 2025, at 11 a.m.

The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting, remarks, light refreshments and an open house.

The opening of the BSCAA, located at 7541 Huntsman Blvd., Springfield, marks an exciting milestone as the Burke-Springfield Center Without Walls transitions to a dedicated brick-and-mortar facility. This will expand opportunities for adults ages 50 and older to engage in a wide range of recreation, education and enrichment programs. BSCAA programs and activities are open to adults age 50 and older with an NCS community center membership. Membership is free for Fairfax County residents; some instructor-led classes may require a fee. To learn more and sign up, visit NCS community center membership.

The new location is more than 8,000 square feet and is in a retail center with ample parking. The facility includes multipurpose rooms for recreational programming and community activities, including classroom and technology spaces and a wellness studio. Programming at the center begins Aug. 5, 2025.
